There's something disarming about this pseudo-chip music's surficial amateurishness -- it fooled me at first. It drew me in slowly, but boy did it draw me in. This makes me feel very complicated and alive.
Favorite track: Holy Fear & Self-Loathing.
Solid concept album from one of my favorite chip musicians. If you haven't already, check Brother Android out. He tells an interesting personal story with these progressive, thoughtful songs.
Favorite track: The Hospital; Your House; the Dark.
Brother Android's second full-length album swaddles a vague religious concept in trappings borrowed from chiptunes, prog, metal, ambient, noise, and other things. It is dense, tedious, and appallingly pretentious.
released April 12, 2012
All songs composed, synthesized, produced, recorded and mixed by Harrison Lemke from sometime in the fall of 2010 to sometime around the end of March, 2012.
All thanks be to God, the infinite wall against which we beat our heads repeatedly.
